A donation in memory of a loved one is a meaningful way to express sympathy to the bereaved family and to honour the one who passed. It is also an opportunity for family and friends to support the parish or the Archdiocese of the loved one in recognition of the Church’s presence in their lives from baptism to death. This special gift will assist the Catholic Church to carry on its spiritual activities and charitable works.
In Memoriam cards are available free of charge either from your parish, the funeral home or by contacting the Office of Finance and Accounting at the Archdiocese of Ottawa.
You can also make online donations at
CanadaHelps by clicking here. You may choose the option of dedicating your gift. Please enter the name and address of the family we should notify, as well as whether you wish the donation to go to a specific parish or to the Archdiocese. A tax receipt will be issued.
The Archdiocese will ensure the family receives a special
In Memoriam card acknowledging your donation and both the loved one and the donor(s) will be remembered by Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, S.J. in his weekly mass.
